Reply:Check the settings on your outgoing smtp server. There was a recent change that requires some users to change their outgoing settings so that the id referenced matches the email address.
Example:
your@email.com smtp.email.yahoo.com
Also make sure SSL is checked which should set port 465

Configure Outlook 2007 to use a web based email?
Can you configure Outlook 2007 to use a
1.) web based email account such as yahoo.com
2.) a business email account created through yahoo but with ists own domain (ex. joe@widgets-inc.com)
3.) a university account (ex. joe@ucla.edu)
Thanks for your help!
Configure Outlook 2007 to use a web based email?
its only possible to setup web based email if the settings within the webmail allow it. Yahoo free accounts, do not support pop access so you cannot use outlook for that. For your site you have to login and check the account for the pop settings...same thing for the university email.
If you have a paid yahoo account go to the help pages for your particular pop settings.

Can Rogers email be configured on Thunderbird?
I am sure it can be, you need to call tech support to get the right settings.
Reply:your incoming mail server for your rogers account should be set as pop.broadband.rogers.com
your outgoing server needs to be smtp.broadband.rogers.com
i'm not sure if this will alter your settings for your hotmail account though.
hope it helps

You can download the utility from website below and configure your e-mail program (Outlook Express/Outlook) to download all the e-mails from your web account to local hard disk.

Mostly depending on which e-mail website you are using. Most of the website gives you facility to get a POP upgrade with a little fee. then you can configure the e-mail account in Outlook/Outlook Express/Eudora/Thunderbird like programs.
YOu can also find similar utility for MSN/Hotmail.

you simply CANNOT use a a regular yahoo account to set up a client email (outlook or outlook express) bec. it doesnt have a pop %26amp; smtp server that will allow you to send and receive mail. unless you have a different account with your ISP (msn, aol, at%26amp;t, etc) then you can use their pop %26amp; smtp server to set upan email account.
Reply:Yahoo itself won't allow you POP access (which is what Outlook uses) unless you pay for it.
But there is a very small program already mentioned - Ypops!
I, myself, use it. Just make sure you read all the documentation on the site - some settings are much better than others. The forums are especially helpful!

I also recommend you use Thunderbird - it has more filtering capabilities than any Microsoft product out there. It's free, up-to-date, has free add-ons and much more.

Can I configure my computer so that I can't SEND an email to a certain email address?
Well, it depends on mail program you're using. Some vendors might provide this kind of feature. But to be honest, I never heard any of them. If you type the wrong destination email address, Yahoo will report when your message is not delivered.

How to configure the software "Easy RSS2Email" for sending email? Is "smtp.gmail.com" correct?
If you have a gmail account it is. The SMTP server for gmail is smtp.gmail.com, the POP server is pop.gmail.com. You can use a gmail SMTP account with a non-gmail POP account. The password is your gmail password.
You have to have POP enabled in gmail settings for it to work.

How do I configure Outlook so that it mirrors my email server (see details)?
Should I be using POP3 instead of IMAP if I want my inbox and sent box on my
laptop to mirror my third party's email server and what do I need to change
to get it to do so? Here are the details....
I'm using Outlook 2003 and have it configured to IMAP. I'm accessing my
university's email account (which also uses Outlook) through Outlook on my
laptop (remotely). The problem is that (1) when I send an email via logging
on to the server, the Outlook on my laptop doesn't update my sent box when I
open it, (2) when I retrieve an email via logging on to the server, my
laptop's Outlook still thinks that it's new mail and, (3) the same is true
vice versa. What I want is for my laptop's Outlook to look at and mirror my
school's Outlook (but ONLY when it comes to my inbox and sent items - i.e., I
still want to retain my (laptop's) Outlook's personal preferences like
display name, rules, alerts, stationary, etc. - my school's Outlook is rather
stripped down).

How do I configure Outlook so that it mirrors my email server (see details)?
No, POP3 will not do what you are interested in.
It's not about syncing up Outlook. It's about syncing up with your school's email severs. Only your school can say whether this options is available or not.

How do I configure my alternative email address to recieve emails from Yahoo server??
Hello!
I recently changed the display name of my alternative email address. I probably may have tampered with the settings in the process.
Because right now I can only send messages from this email address but can not recieve any emails.
My primary email address is OK, I can send and recieve with that one.
Can help will be highly appreciated this email address is very important to me.
Regards.
N.B. I want to be able to receive emails using Yahoo not outlook.
How do I configure my alternative email address to recieve emails from Yahoo server??
An extra email address is a second Yahoo! Mail address that you can use with your existing Yahoo! Mail account.
It's not a separate Yahoo! ID, and it's not a separate Yahoo! Mail account. It's just another address you can use to send and receive email, and any messages you get go into the same Inbox you already use.

Regular Yahoo mail does not support a "POP" account. You would need to upgrade to be able to use 2007.
