Anyone in the UK configure their Nokia 3220's email client to check their Yahoo Mail Plus account?

I'm based in England and am with T-Mobile. I've got a Nokia 3220 and am trying to configure its email client with my Yahoo Mail Plus account. I can send emails, but when I try to receive them, it automatically disconnects. I received the "correct" settings from T-Mobile themselves. If you're going to recommmend speaking to Yahoo, T-Mobile or Nokia, don't! I need a real life and practical answer! Thanks in advance to any genuis who sorts this out before I manage to.
