First you need to have a Yahoo Mail Plus account. This is the POP3 web mail.
Then you will have to go into the Account setting of Thunderbird and set it up to access the Yahoo POP3 and SMTP. You wll also have to check the box for "My server requires Authentication" an fill in the necessary boxes with your email address and password.
You will get the POP3 and SMTP info when you get the Mail Plus.
Can I configure my thunderbird email prog to work with yahoo and if so how please?
Trust me, your better to use "thunderbird" as a stand alone email client if you prefer that program. Depending on your computers anti-virus program you would have less issues as (yahoo) has its own built in anti-virus that may conflict with other email clients.
