Here鈥檚 how to set your PC, running either Internet Explorer or Firefox, to open your account鈥檚 Compose window when you click an email link on a web page. There鈥檚 not an official version for the Mac - yet.
To make Yahoo! Mail the default email application for your computer, click Start %26gt; Control Panel %26gt; Internet Options %26gt; Programs tab (or in Internet Explorer click Tools %26gt; Internet Options %26gt; Programs tab) %26gt; under E-mail click the down arrow and select Yahoo! Mail %26gt; click Apply and OK.
If Yahoo! Mail isn't listed as a default email option, installing Yahoo! Messenger will add Yahoo! Mail to the list of email options, and if you don't want it, uninstall it and it should leave Yahoo! as an email option.
If you already have Yahoo! Messenger, re-install it. If you don't want Yahoo! Messenger and uninstall it, it should leave Yahoo! Mail in the list of email options.
There used to be a link to download a small file to make Yahoo! Mail your default email client, but Yahoo! has pulled the file and now you have to install Yahoo! Messenger in order to add Yahoo! Mail to your list of default email options.
You can download Yahoo! Messenger here:
