If you've got Messenger Plus, you've probably also got the LOP infection, unless you opted out from the sponsorship. I would worry about that first rather than finding out how to get it to check your yahoo mail account.
Reply:yahoo wont let you do that but there is a messenger out there called trillian that checks msn and yahoo
