Unless you have Yahoo Mail Plus, you will not be able to use Outlook to access your Yahoo account. However, if you do, you can go to the link below in Yahoo Mail FAQ that will show you exactly what to do to configure your Outlook for POP3 access to Yahoo. Yes, you used to be able to use Outlook and Yahoo together without paying the 20 bucks a year extra to Yahoo...but as of a few years ago, that service is now only offered to Yahoo Mail Plus customers.

From what I've heard it only works now if you have the Mail Plus enabled. I don't know why....
Reply:If u have a yahoo.com address.. U wont be able to enabled pop3 n STMP access unless u have yahoo mail plus account.. However if u have an ordinary account wid yahoo.co.uk, yahoo.co.in etc.. u can enable pop access from yahoo mail preferences after loging into ur account.. n follow the instructions listed there..
Reply:the 1st thing you need to do is download and install ypops from yahoo
then go into outlook and navigate to the part where you have to put in the pop and smtp info and put in local host for both
